For over fifty years Nanu Maharaj has practised Vedic astrology known as Jyotisha the way it was meant to be practised. One person. One chart. One honest conversation at a time.
For most of that time his work was known only to a few. He served as the personal astrologer to some of India's most successful industrialists and business families. These were people who could seek counsel anywhere in the world. They returned to him year after year and generation after generation. Decisions of marriage and succession were weighed with his charts on the table. So were new ventures and difficult seasons.
That kind of personal and deeply prepared reading has always been quietly available to the very few. Nanu Maharaj believes it should not be.He has distilled his life's learning into six published volumes. Now he has decided the time has come to open his practice. Jyotisha is one of the six Vedangas. These are the limbs of the Vedas. It is the only one founded entirely on direct observation. Nanu Maharaj writes that other disciplines rest on debate. This one rests on the sky itself.
